A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed outside a busy Underground station.
The 17-year-old was found with stab injuries outside Leyton Tube station in east London at 12.45pm today.
No arrests have yet been made but the Metropolitan Police are investigating.
Pictures uploaded to social media show several police vehicles blocking the road outside the station with the area cordoned off by officers.
The stabbing comes during a week-long crackdown in knife crime across the UK.
Operation Sceptre was launched on Monday to encourage young people to give up their blades and step up stop and search operations among police officers.
Central Line trains are not stopping at Leyton while police carry out their investigation.
